Pot calls kettle Red

EU commission prez Jose Manuel Barroso has 'lashed out' - as the newsmongers may have it - at criticisms from Hungarian PM Viktor Orban of a Soviet-style EU.

“We are more than familiar with the character of unsolicited comradely assistance, even if it comes wearing a finely tailored suit and not a uniform with shoulder patches,” said Orban.

But he was struck down rhetorically by Bozo in a rare moment of lashbackery.

Unfortunately, it lacked something fundamental:

"Those who compare the European Union to the USSR completely misunderstand the principles of democracy,"

retorted the unelected EU commission president...

Well spoken and entirely true Mr. Barroso.

Only fools and journalist define democracy only in electoral terms.
